This is an exciting time to be at Universal DX. We are growing rapidly and starting our US operations by building up our team, starting our lab and business operations, and establishing strategic partnerships. • Collaborate with R&D department to understand workflow requirements and identify automation requirements
• Design, develop, and implement automated systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in laboratory processes
• Integrate automation solutions with existing laboratory equipment and software platforms
• Develop and customize scripts for robotic systems, liquid handling platforms, and other automation equipment
• Provide technical support for automated systems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to ensure continuous operation
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of automated equipment to uphold performance standards
• Train laboratory staff on the proper use and maintenance of automated systems
• Create comprehensive documentation for automated processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and IT coworkers, to implement and optimize automated solutions
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select new automation technologies.
• Experience in laboratory automation, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong programming skills, with expertise in Hamilton automated systems
• Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment such as liquid handlers and LIMS systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in all aspects of work
• Experience in a NGS laboratory setting and a deep understanding of laboratory workflows and protocols
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, etc.) with proven laboratory expertise.
