About the position

Universal Diagnostics (UDX) is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a passionate and fast-growing biotech company developing novel diagnostic tests with the potential to significantly impact society. UDX is an in-vitro diagnostics biotech company focused on early detection of cancer using leading edge technologies. The company is using the power of next-generation sequencing (NGS), epigenetic alterations, population-scale clinical studies, and state-of-the-art computer science and data science to enhance the scientific understanding of cancer biology, and to develop its multi-cancer early detection blood test. Job offer is for Ljubljana, Slovenia. Partially remote work opportunity is also negotiable.

You will work in an enviroment to:

  • Contribute into code and software improvement in collaboration with a talented team of bioinformaticians, data scientists and software engineers
  • Build tools and scripts in go, bash, python, r or other languages
  • Contribute in code review, source code management tool, code merging
  • Continuously integrate tools, build status
  • Package artifact repository, application pre-deployment staging
  • Change management, release approvals, release automation
  • Infrastructure configuration and management
  • Applications performance monitoring
  • Documented experience with Gitlab, Bazel, AWS, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, GCE, Kubernetes

Your background includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of DevOps, SRE, or system administration experience
  • Experience with Atlassian package
  • Efficient with management and organizational skills to meet established timelines
  • Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision
  • Knowledge and experience with time management and timeline development
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
