How you'll contribute


• Provide technical support for laboratory equipment, diagnosing issues and implementing solutions via third party providers to ensure continuous operation
• Track and schedule routine maintenance, calibration, and upgrades of equipment to uphold performance standards
• Track technical program: ensuring timely delivery of results in a cross-team environment where technical topics play a crucial role, ensuring cross-team information flow and scheduling according to latest technical developments
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to understand workflow requirements and identify automation needs
• Assist in development and implementation of automated systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Track, create and monitor documentation of laboratory processes and automation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides and development reports in tracking software like Jira or Confluence
• Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant team members
• Help in developing training materials and workshops to enhance staff proficiency in technical related topics
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, bioinformaticians, and IT co-workers, to implement and optimize workflows
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select new technologies.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as biomedical engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, computer science, or a related scientific discipline with proven laboratory expertise.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on laboratory or technical topics.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn about automated laboratory equipment such as liquid handlers.
• Ability to shift priority or timelines according to the latest R&D developments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in all aspects of work
• Experience in a laboratory setting and understanding of laboratory workflows and protocols
• Willingness to learn and proactive attitude are a plus!
